Put a bunch of great creative professionals in an amazing place, give them good food and wine and see what happens!

What are Im-Arch Sessions?

We are creating a fully immersive experience, combining researchcollaborationskillsfusion, and the finest things in life.

Our Digital Artist in Residence programme intends to generate digital contents that are not only technically outstanding, but above all unconventional in their imagery, to go beyond mainstream architectural and digital media content production.

To achieve our goal we have developed a format that can apply to many fields of application and that guarantees the efficiency of the workflow.

Format

  1. A group of 3d artists, photographers, screenwriters, video makers are placed in a house working together for 3 days.
  2. They are asked to work on a specific topic that relays on both digital and analogic/sensorial aspects, such as food, fashion, contemporary art, automotive, tattoos, robots, jewelry, etc
  3. The outcome will be a series of physical and digital objects (such as tutorials, textures, videos, models, scripts), procedures and experiences that will be gathered, filmed and documented.
  4. All assets generated during each session will be available to the public to view and download for free.
  5. Selected sponsors can finance the events (materials, location, food and beverages, logistics) .

Beta Session: Talamone, Maremma, Tuscany.

The weekend of October 13th though the 15th we have experienced our first Im-Arch event in wonderful Talamone, a small sea town in Tuscany.
We gathered together a group of creative professionals with the objective of experimenting and creating a series of food and nature related assets.

During three days the group of artists has:
scanned food
scanned leaves and animated parametric trees in VR
inserted the scanned asset into the 3d environment
created seamless textures out of stones,
used Matterport technology to scan the venue

The result of the work has been transformed into tutorials, 3d objects, Unreal Engine blueprints, interviews and other material suitable for the web distribution.
In addition to this technical material, we promoted social activities (cooking lessons (a), billiards (b), food (c), location (d) – all Instagram ready) in an effort to bring artists together on many levels.
